Meet Tomme ! A 3 year old buff tabby that is neutered and came to us in a bit of rough shape. He had a broken leg and is recovering very nicely in his foster home! He is a self proclaimed couch potato and just loves to snuggle up in the sun rays! He loves other felines but might prefer no dogs in the home, at least until he fully heals!

Meet Matt!

Matt has been able to spend some time in a foster home and this is what his foster has to say about him:

First, he is a loving and kind soul. He is still nervous most of the time, while he settles in it seems to dissipate and his confidence comes out. He is great with kids and other dogs. Matt's a wonderful dog that has a goofy and playful personality. He likes to play with his human and k9 companions.  It will take time for him to fully feel secure and safe in his household. Matt needs consistency, love and patience.

Arthur -- a 2 year old neutered male, he is pretty stressed out here at the shelter, but absolutely loves his snuggle time! Once you start loving on him, he'll keep you trapped giving him pets until he falls asleep! He would do great with a family of older kids and easygoing pets with a good introduction!

While we’re not brothers–we came to the shelter separately as strays and were matched up together when we went  into foster care. We’ve been glue ever since. the first to break the Cat-Human Barrier. He LOVES to be petted–that

is his Kryptonite, his Achilles Heel, his softest spot. Just stroke

Easy also loves to be petted…but he will make you work for it! Once he

Rickie - He is a 2 year old brown tabby who absolutely loves people of all ages. Rickie has also become the designated "dad" in the Catroom and watches over and plays with his young kitten friends. He can sometimes be a little shy at first, but with a little wet food and some gentle scratches, he comes out of his shell quickly. Rickie would love to go home with another cat friend, kids and maybe even dogs!

This super sweet girl is ready to steal your heart! Miss Louise loves going on excursions with her volunteer buddies and they say that she is always the most well behaved girl. She rides nicely in the car and loves going for walks downtown! At home she loves to snuggle on the couch with her favorite stuffed toy.

They can go separately or together. They are currently in foster care while they receive treatment for a fungal infection, but would love to find their forever homes while undergoing treatments! Turns out, treating the fungal infection is pretty darn easy, and the staff at LCHS are more than happy to walk you through my treatment protocol and help you every step of the way!

It's hard to believe that this little lady came in with kittens because she is sooo petite! Come love her!

Lady is the sweetest cat! She is a Domestic Medium Hair, grey tabby with a dash of white. She is one year old, good with cats, dogs, and kids!

Cinch is 4 years old, and probably the softest girl you'll ever lay your hands on.

She is listed as an Anatolian Shepherd- don't expect her to be out in the field, she's a house dog for sure. She is AMAZING with kids, (think Nana from Peter Pan) but needs a home without cats or small dogs.

 Cinch is the V.I.P. at the shelter this week! That means she's only $25 to adopt, and yes: still comes with all the good stuff that the animals always come with: vaccinations are up to date, she's spayed, microchipped, and will come with a bag of food, and a free future vet visit!

Shelby is a 7 year old tortoiseshell kitty that needs a new home! This old girl is more like a teenager, and is still very playful and cuddly: she's the perfectly balanced cat!

Shelby would do well in a home with dogs, cats, kids, basically, any home would be perfect for her.

Sadly her owner had to bring her to the shelter, but Shelby is ready to come home with you, and because she's a senior kitty, her WETNOSE WEDNESDAY discount is even better!

Maggie is about a year old, and is believed to be a pointer cross! She is new to the shelter and is ready to have a family of her own. She may like a home with another doggo, and would be interested in testing out with your cats and kids!

Alice is a sweet, special girl- she has seizures but they are managed on the medication that she is on.

Phil and Lil, along with their 3 siblings, were found in a box on the road . After they were nearly hit, they were thankfully taken to the care of Lewis and Clark Human Society, where they are now awaiting their forever homes! Biscuit is BACK!

You may remember Biscuit from having a collar cutting into his skin that needed a lot of special care at the Lewis and Clark humane Society. He is all healed up, and needs a place to live forever!

Sensitive Senior Looking for Forever Home!

Sweet Maverick is a 7 year old sweetheart who is looking for a lap to lay his head on, and a family who will love him forever!

Maverick came in with his buddy Ginger, and while she got adopted by a wonderful family very quickly - Maverick is still waiting for his chance. He enjoys easy-going walks with time to sniff the roses, and he is great on leash! Because he is a grown adult, Maverick is over all of that puppy nonsense and he is just happy to hang out, no need to run this guy up a mountain everyday!

When Biscuit came to the shelter he was skinny and was suffering from wounds caused by a collar that had gotten stuck around his neck and shoulder area. He’s healing up well and now searching for his forever home!

It's the Bakery Bunch cats!

A few of the cats from the Lewis and Clark Humane Society's bakery bunch are up for adoption! Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, Banoffee, and Key Lime are all looking for forever homes! They may be a bit shy, but they are eager to find their special humans who will help them learn what love is all about! Their ages range from 11 months to 6 years, and they are ready to come home!

These guys are FIV positive. This means they have an immune disease that makes it so they can't fight off illness as well as a cat who is negative. While FIV cats may have an easier time developing illnesses, most can go on to live long healthy lives with the proper vet care :) They are looking for indoor-only homes they can share with other FIV positive cats, or where they are the only one! These guys are all super cute and ready for love!

A kind citizen found me and brought me to the shelter so I could get the help I needed. You see, I had a big abscess on my face that needed treatment, and I was skinny. The shelter staff got me fixed up, and took me to the vet to make sure I was healthy! I’m now ready to find my forever home! My dream home is a quiet one filled with lots of cozy blankets and beds for me to nap on. Hi, I’m Calcifer! I was once a kitten living on the street with my family, but now I’m looking for my forever home! I’m not going to lie, when I came into the shelter I was very scared of the people trying to help me. I know they just wanted me to be comfortable and happy, but it was really different than what I was used to, and I was scared. A nice lady took me and my siblings into her home so I could be happy, comfortable, and to work on my social skills. It’s been about a month now, and while I have come a long way, there’s more to be done in a forever home! I am not quite sure about being picked up and pet, but the more I see my siblings get snuggles, the more curious I am about affection! This senior sweetheart is looking for an easy-going home that will take him for nice strolls around the park and let him nap the day away. When he isn’t napping, Cody loves to have snacks! Even though he is 10 years old, he is still eager to learn more tricks, as long as there are treats in it for him later!
